Hi there! I'm Nengbo Wang 👋.

I’m a PhD student in Computer Science 💡 and Marketing 🧠 (dual field), kind of living between code and real-world business.

My research revolves around Artificial Intelligence: on the technical side, I explore Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and causal inference 🧩; on the business side, I study AI conceptualization, typology, and how AI is deployed in organizations 💼. I’ve published and have works under review in top AI conferences and leading marketing journals, with several new projects on the way 🚀. Always excited to exchange ideas or brainstorm something wild!

Before diving into academia, I worked as an Applied Scientist at Yum R&D Center — the company behind KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell. I built and deployed machine learning solutions for real-world business challenges ⚙️, took part in two trade secrets, and authored seven patents along the way 🔬.

Outside of research, I love bouldering (around V4–V5) 🧗‍♂️, snowboarding (big mountains really speak to my soul) 🏔️, and Texas Hold’em with a focus on GTO theory (once won 1st place in a Cleveland tournament) 🏆. I have also tinkered with a few hobby projects like an AI-driven crypto trading bot 🤖 and a survival-building indie game 🎮.
